Onigiri are rice balls with filling in the center or mixed in to the rice and then wrapped in nori (seaweed). Onigiri has been a staple in Japan for centuries due to its portability, affordability, nutritional value, delicious taste, versatility of flavors, and much more. We hand make all of our onigiri to incorporate the flavors of a traditional Japanese home kitchen and reflect the special taste that comes from the food of a loving mother.
Onigiri Musume is a team of a mom and two daughters. Musume means daughter or young woman in Japanese. Mariko grew up in Japan and has been cooking authentic Japanese food for years that was passed on to her from her mom. Mia and Ana, who were born and raised in Columbus, grew up eating their mom’s homemade meals and have acquired a multicultural taste, allowing Onigiri Musume to develop an authentic yet creative menu.
